Who is Sally Spencer-Harris?

Who is Sally Spencer-Harris?

Sally went to London from the country aged 17 to go to Mountview Theatre School ( or the Judi Dench Theatre school) in Crouch End.

After a three year training at Mountview, Sally got her first repertory season at ‘The Pitlochry Festival Theatre’ playing leads in four plays including ‘Clara’ in ‘Pygmalion’. This first season was for 6 months. She did her apprenticeship in London theatre, including playing the lead in a West End Venue for 3 months.

In her early 20’s, Sally got her first roles with the BBC, starting off with “Campion” with David Haig and Peter Davison. It was here that Sally realized that after 5 years of training, she hadn’t learned anything about “Acting For Screen” so she made an inner pledge to teach what she was on to “Flip” BBC1 and then 3 years as ‘ Caroline Darling ‘ in ‘The Biz’ for TV2. During this time Sally was teaching also ‘Theatre’ and ‘Film’.

Before starting her own Casting and Acting Studio in Ponsonby, Sally came to New Zealand and did “Vertical Limit, Zena and Cloud 9’s “The Plays the thing,” along with many commercials in both countries. Then she focused on “Studio 111” the Casting and Acting Studio, she created.

London credits include Mountview Theatre School and three years at ‘The Academy’ drama school. She also ran her own Theatre and screen classes at Hampstead Performance Arts, Camden University and the ‘Swiss Cottage Project’. She also taught extensively on a one to one basis.
